November seems to be a month teeming with activities of varied natures. In the US an event which involves choice and which will impact many nations is imminent. Election signifies choice and our choices affect the destiny of countries and people. Our life has been moving forward carried by the choices we made in the past. Choices, like waves carry us to the shore of our dreams. We need God’s wisdom and guidance to continue to make the right choices.

Our friends in the US are entering into another season of thanksgiving. Every child of God remembers what God does in his life and gives thanks to Him. November is actually “Now we remember”. As we stand at the close of a year, we look back and remember what God in His mercy has bestowed on us. He has been gracious enough to take us through pain and pleasure, grief and gain, illness and health and so many vicissitudes in life. We need to thank Him for what had happened to us and also for what did not happen to us.

Whatever be the present scenario, we look forward to another season of hope and joy . November end signifies the advent season. Joyful bells will start chiming soon chasing away hopeless despair and desperate hopes. Our prayers are to seek God’s help in establishing His kingdom and we need to strive to light the advent candle wherever we are and bring down amidst us the kingdom of God so that we can all sing: “Heaven came down and glory filled the earth”.
